Core Responsibilities:

  • Measuring, cutting, and fitting glass for windows, doors, facades, and interior fixtures
  • Installing double-glazed units, safety glass, and decorative glass panels
  • Repairing or replacing broken or damaged glass in residential, commercial, and industrial buildings
  • Applying sealing compounds and weatherproofing materials to ensure durability
  • Using specialized tools for glass shaping, polishing, and edge finishing
  • Reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints for glass installation

  • Residential and commercial construction projects
  • Interior design and renovation companies
  • Automotive glass repair and installation
  • Industrial manufacturing plants (glass production)
  • Heritage restoration projects involving glasswork

Skills Required:

  • Precision measurement and cutting skills
  • Knowledge of glass types and properties
  • Manual dexterity and attention to detail
  • Understanding of workplace safety and protective equipment
  • Ability to read technical drawings
  • Teamwork and problem-solving skills

Educational Qualification:

  • 10+2 / Higher Secondary Certificate (any stream, preferably with basic mathematics)

German Language Level:

  • Minimum B1 (Goethe/telc) – B2 preferred for better career advancement

Recognition of School Certificates:

  • Via ANABIN/ZAB for equivalence in Germany

Other Requirements:

  • Medical clearance (fit for physical and manual work)
  • Police clearance certificate
  • Motivation letter and German-format CV
  • Willingness to adapt to German work culture and safety regulations
